How fast is the Spyder? According to Porsche, the 918 Spyder Concept hits 62 mph in under 3.2 seconds. Its top speed is 198 mph. The new hybrid, laps Nürburgring in less than 7 minutes 30 seconds. This thing is even faster than the Carrera GT.
The car is pretty green. According to Porsche, the the plug-in hybrid 918 Spyder Concept gets an outstanding 78 mpg.
The 918 Spyder offers four driving modes. E Drive is total electric power, and it has a range of up to 16 miles. In Hybrid mode, electric power and gasoline power are used as conditions warrant, which maximizes economy or performance. Sport Hybrid mode sents most of the power goes rearward, aided by torque vectoring to help the car’s dynamics. Finally, there’s Race Hybrid mode for the utmost performance.
